Editing a novel is a layered process—and I’m here to support you through most of your journey. To thank returning clients who work with me on multiple editorial services for the same manuscript, I offer Manuscript Loyalty Pricing: a step-based discount model that builds as your project evolves.

There are no bundles and no upfront commitments—just consistent support and meaningful savings as your story moves from idea to polished manuscript.

🔧 How It Works

For each new editing service you complete on the same manuscript, you unlock:

  • A 2.5% discount off your next service
  • A retroactive credit equal to 2.5% of each prior service’s full price

That means your loyalty tier increases by 2.5% every time you complete another unique service—up to a maximum of 20%. The more services you complete, the bigger your next discount.

This model grows with your story—and your savings.

Let’s say you complete four services for the same manuscript, following my suggested editorial path:

1. Alpha Reader – $200

  • First service: no discount or credit
  • You pay: $200

2. Manuscript Evaluation – $750

  • Loyalty Tier: 2.5% off = $18.75
  • Retro Credit from Alpha = $5
  • You pay: $726.25

3. Beta Reader – $400

  • Loyalty Tier: 5% off = $20
  • Retro Credits:
    Alpha = $5
    Evaluation = $18.75
    Total Credit: $23.75
  • You pay: $356.25

4. Developmental Edit – $1,500

  • Loyalty Tier: 7.5% off = $112.50

💬 FAQ: Manuscript Loyalty Pricing

Q: Do I need to commit to all 9 services?
A: Not at all! This isn’t a bundle—you can book each service individually and return when (and if) you’re ready. Your discounts will apply as you go, and grow with the more services booked.

Q: What if I only need two services—do I still get a discount?
A: Yes! Once you complete your first service, you’ll unlock 2.5% off the next, plus a credit based on what you already paid.

Q: Can I skip a service and still receive the next loyalty tier?
A: Yes! Your discount level is based on how many services you book for the same manuscript, not whether you’ve followed a set order.

Q: What if my word count changes between stages?
A: No problem! Each service will be priced based on your manuscript’s current length, and loyalty discounts will apply accordingly.

Q: Can I use other discounts too?
A: Yes! Any promo pricing or discounts you receive still count as the “original price” when calculating loyalty credits and tier eligibility.

Q: Can I use this loyalty pricing on more than one book?
A: Yes—but each manuscript earns its own loyalty path. Loyalty pricing applies only to services completed for the same manuscript.

Example:
If you book an Alpha Reader Service for Manuscript A and later book a Beta Reader Service for Manuscript B, those services will not combine toward your loyalty discount.
However, if you later book a Beta Reader Service for Manuscript A, that will be the second service for that manuscript—unlocking the 2.5% loyalty tier and a credit based on your Alpha Reader total.
You’ll need to complete a third unique service (such as a Developmental Edit) for Manuscript A to unlock the 5% loyalty tier.

Each story is treated as its own project—so your loyalty pricing rewards your continued investment in the same manuscript.

Q: What if I purchase the same service twice for the same manuscript?
A: Only the first time you book a specific service for a manuscript will count toward your Manuscript Loyalty Pricing.
Repeat services—like booking two Alpha Reads or two full Developmental Edits for the same manuscript—do not receive a loyalty discount and do not count toward your tier progression.

If you do book the same service more than once (which is rare), the higher-priced version will be counted toward your loyalty path and used to calculate any future credit.

✏️ Note: It’s uncommon to need the same service twice.

  • For early-stage services, revisions usually progress you to the next phase.
  • For mid-stage services, I offer optional add-ons like the Follow-Up Evaluation Review and Follow-Up Developmental Edit. These are lighter, targeted check-ins designed to support your revisions—not full repeat services.

Q: Do add-ons count toward loyalty pricing?
A: No—add-ons are not discounted and do not count toward loyalty credit or tier progress. This includes custom questions, follow-up services, and other extras.
