đ Editorial Services â Frequently Asked Questions
â What kinds of books do you edit?
While romance is my specialtyâfrom light româcoms to deeply emotional love storiesâI also consider editing manuscripts in other fictional genres, including mystery, horror, fantasy, historical fiction, or anything else. All subgenres and heat levels of romance are welcome (with content disclaimers), and Iâm open to exploring work outside of romance. Just mention any genre or theme in your inquiry.
â Do you consider editing in genres outside of romance?
Yes! If you have a project in another genreâmystery, sciâfi, fantasy, litrpg, etc.âfeel free to reach out. Romance stories remain my core focus, but Iâm happy to discuss other genres to see if weâre a good fit.
â Your services seem romance-focused. Can you still help with other genres?
Yes! While most of my services are tailored to romance authors, Iâm happy to consider any genreâincluding mystery, horror, fantasy, sci-fi, and just about anything else! If one of my existing services doesnât quite fit your manuscript, I may be able to adjust it or create a custom package to better suit your storyâs needs. Just reach out and let me know what youâre working on! In most cases, I can tailor something to your needs.
â Do I need to book all your services in order?
Nope! Youâre welcome to book only the services you need, whenever you need them. That said, I do offer an editorial progression that mirrors my own romance writing process, and many authors find it helpful to follow the full path. When applicable, I mention where my editorial services fit.

â How do I book a service?
Just head to my Contact Page and let me know which service youâre interested in. Iâll reply quickly to answer any questions, discuss your timeline, and get you scheduled. If you aren’t sure what you need or where to begin, we can discuss that, too. I reply fast, so we won’t waste time!
â How does payment work?
Each service has its own payment terms, listed clearly on its individual page. See each individual service’s page for specifics, or ask me if you are unsure.
I will send you an invoice via Stripe for payment. Alternatively, I also accept payments via Venmo and Zelle. I do not accept payments directly via PayPal.
â What file format do you accept?
I accept manuscripts and outlines in .docx format only. This allows me to provide in-line comments when applicable, and ensures compatibility with industry-standard tools.
â Can I use your services if Iâm planning to traditionally publish?
Absolutely! Many of my clients are preparing to query agents or submit to publishers, and my services are built to help you strengthen your manuscript before you take that next step.
â Do you provide line editing, copyediting, or proofreading?
Yes! I still need to update my website with webpages for these services, but I now offer line editing, copyediting, and proofreading. If you would like to book one of these services, please let me know.
â Whatâs Manuscript Loyalty Pricing?
When you book more than one editing service for the same manuscript, you unlock stacking discountsâstarting at 2.5% and building up to 20% off. Itâs my way of thanking you for trusting me with your story. It’s retroactive, meaning you’ll earn a credit from past services on the same manuscript. Who doesn’t want to save 20% off?

â How long will it take to get my feedback?
Turnaround times vary depending on the service, word count, and my own writing (and editing) schedule, but I always let you know what to expect upfront. Shorter services may be completed same-day or within a week, or longer if I am busy. Longer services like evaluations or edits may take as little as a week up to several weeks. If you have a deadline, let me knowâIâll tell you if I can accommodate it.
â Can I ask questions after you send my report?
In many cases, yes! Most services include email follow-up supportâso if you have questions about the feedback you received, youâre welcome to reach out. Iâm happy to clarify or expand on anything thatâs unclear. If you have new manuscript-specific questions for certain services (like my Alpha Reader or Beta Reader service), you may be required to purchase an add-on. However, clarification questions are always welcome!
