❓Why are you offering editing services as an author?
Since publishing my first novel, I’ve had fellow writers reach out, asking if I’d take a look at their stories, help with a tricky plot, or offer feedback on their romance arcs. I’ve built these services to offer thoughtful, affordable, and structured feedback at different stages of your writing journey. ❓Do you work with manuscripts in genres outside of romance?
Yes! While I specialize in romance, I welcome manuscripts in other genres as well—especially those with strong character arcs or emotional depth. I will consider stories in mystery, fantasy, women’s fiction, historical fiction, horror, and more! Some services may need small adjustments depending on your genre, but I’m happy to discuss options or create something custom for your needs.

I’ve intentionally priced these discounted editing services to make professional support more accessible to indie authors. These rates reflect where I am in building my editorial calendar—not a lack of experience or care. I want authors to be able to invest in story-level editing without worrying about breaking the bank.
❓ Are your rates lower because you’re new to editing?
I’m new to offering professional editing services to other authors, but I’m not new to writing, story structure, or romance craft. As a full-time romance author publishing four books a year, I bring a deep understanding of emotional beats, genre expectations, and character arcs to every project I work on. These lower rates are part of my effort to grow my client base and provide high-value editing at an approachable price.
❓ What kind of romance books do you edit?
All kinds! I work with sweet, spicy, clean, Christian, Amish, steamy, emotional, erotic, trope-packed, and character-driven romances across all heat levels. If there’s a central love story and an emotionally satisfying arc, you’re in the right place. I’m also happy to work with romantic subplots and hybrid genres. For dark or taboo content, just let me know any relevant content warnings or boundaries.
❓Can I lock in the sale price even if I’m not ready yet?
Unfortunately, the rate on this page is only good for one slot with a July 28th start date. However, you can still take advantage of my Introductory Rates!
❓Do you only work with self-published authors?
Not at all. While most of my clients are indie or self-publishing authors, I’m happy to work with anyone preparing to query agents, enter contests, or pursue traditional publishing. My editing services are designed to support authors on all paths—with honest, actionable, and genre-aware feedback.
❓What if I’m not sure which service I need?
That’s totally normal—especially if this is your first time hiring an editor. Just let me know where you are in the writing process (outlining, drafting, revising, etc.), and I’ll help you figure out the best fit. If it turns out you’re past the services I currently offer, I’ll still point you toward what you might need next—even if it’s not something I provide.
❓Do you offer payment plans or split invoices?
Yes, in most cases. All services require a non-refundable deposit to secure your booking. Flat-fee services are paid in full on the start date (none are a part of this sale). Per-word services (in this sale) are split 50% at the start and 50% upon completion. If you’d prefer to make smaller payments leading up to those deadlines, I’m happy to set up a plan that works for you—just ask.
